At the beginning of the game Miriam was a defender as she has been every night at practice...then halfway through the game her coach sent her in as a striker. She has never played any offense at all during practice, and this is her first season of soccer so she had no idea what to do. Rob noticed her confusion, so he coached her from the sidelines and in no time she was loving this new "striker" position.
When you give Miriam a job to do, she's gonna do it to the best of her ability. She is a perfectionist through and through (just like her Daddy) and she gives everything she does her all. She jumped right in and went after that ball!

After Miriam's game this evening Rob pulled the big three together to tell them how proud he was of them for doing their best and having a great day of sports. He then told them as a special treat for their first day of games we'd go out to eat at a restaurant. There were squeals all around...and off to our favorite Mexican restaurant we went. During dinner Miriam could barely eat, she kept crying because she was so happy. All in all it was a great day!
