Miriam finished making her first quilt this week; our new picnic blanket. She placed the blocks in order, sewed them together and sewed the strips together all by herself! She learned how to sandwich and pin the backing, batting, and quilt top by helping me. She did all the ties herself with a little help from me in pulling the needle through all the layers of fabric when her hands got tired. When she was all done I did the binding for her.I had to include a few extra pictures this week!
The kids have been playing picnic and camping on the blanket in our den for two days straight. I look forward to warmer weather so we can have many picnics and watch T-ball and soccer games on it .
