Why not???

Sometimes it's easier to just let the toddler win. Sometimes I have to remind myself that a little mess is often worth the happiness and fun it can bring.

I catch Peyton bringing the play kitchen cups downstairs and filling them with real water from the fridge almost daily. I usually scold her, pour the water out and send the toys back upstairs.

Today, I thought, "why not?"...so a blanket got spread on the kitchen floor and she filled, poured, stirred, and drank to her hearts content. She even got some real Goldfish to play with and eat.

I really need to ask my self more often...
