Train Museum

On Friday the children and I went to the North Carolina Transportation Museum with Jen and Sam. http://www.nctrans.org/

The children were so excited to be at the museum! They couldn't wait to see all the cars, planes, and trains.

Here they are in front of an old Police Car. (The girls thought they needed to take a picture for Daddy)My children love Mrs. Jen! They wanted her to do everything with them and for them. Even Michael refused to hold my hand walking around the museum; he wanted Mrs. Jen.

The museum has an 100 foot turntable that moves the trains into the Roundhouse and out to the train tracks. We were able to ride on the turntable while it went in a circle, and then we watched a big engine come out of the Roundhouse, turn on the turntable and go on the tracks to pick up more train cars. The children were so impressed. Miriam was afraid to ride the turntable; I had to force her to get on, but now she says that the turntable was her favorite part of the museum. I love that in these pictures the girls are all sitting reading books, while the boys are both busy playing with tools!
