We had a wonderful long (9 days!!) vacation at Lake Gaston this month.
Rob was thrilled with Mom and Dad's new (to them) boat. It's a little ski boat, just the perfect size to fit all of us and it goes fast! The children had a wonderful time driving and riding in the boat.
After our boat ride we swam in the lake. Miriam swims around in her vest like a little fish; she loves every second of it! Rebekah got in the water too; she was fine as long as she could hold on very tightly to Rob or me. Michael also got in, he didn't love being in the water, but he was okay when he could watch the boats going by. We didn't get a picture of him in the water since we were both in with him.

We also really enjoyed the picnic shed on the property. Rob spent most every afternoon at the grill. I did not cook one time the entire 9 days, he did everything on the grill-even veggies and side dishes! The kids and Haley loved the popsicles Grandma left them in the freezer.

The children also spent lots of afternoons in the baby pool while Rob cooked on the grill and I read at the picnic tables.
