Zoo Day!

Rob finally had a day off with no court, overtime, or other commitment scheduled so we took the children to the zoo. The forecast included some rain, but we took our chances knowing it would be late June at least before we have another opportunity to go to the zoo. On the drive to the zoo it rained quite a bit while the baby screamed for the entire 45 minute ride--we thought we'd made a huge mistake! However it only rained one more time while we were at the zoo, and that was during our lunch break while we were safely in the cafe. The big girls use the stroller as much as Michael does- Daddy got quite the work out on all the hills at the zoo. Peyton had nothing to do with being put down in the stroller after spending an hour strapped in her carseat earlier in the day.Peyton slept through much of the zoo wrapped on me. I wish a wrap counted as a carseat, then driving would be so much easier!Miriam and Rebekah love taking pictures of the animals. The aviary was the best part of the day. We had a great time looking for the birds and watching them. The Scarlet Ibis was the favorite bird of the day.
