Emily's first day

Emily, Rob and I all went to sleep around 4am the morning she was born. We all had a good sleep until morning when we woke up for a bit to nurse, change Emily's diaper and call the grandparents. We also skyped with Miriam, Rebekah, Michael, and Peyton before falling back asleep for a few more hours.After the first nap of the day we skyped with Alana, Naomi and Gabriel and then spent some time discussing what to name our newest baby girl. We decided on Emily Lillian and called her great-grandmothers to tell them the news. Next we gave Emily her first bath. After her bath Gramma, Gramps, and Aunt Deb came to visit--they brought gifts and a very yummy lunch for us.

Then we took yet another nap! After that nap Grandma and Mac-Mac brought the big kids home and came with dinner for us. The kids were so excited to finallly meet their new sister. Everyone was anxious for a turn to hold her.

Finally Grandma and Mac-Mac got a turn to hold her.
