Cabarrus County Fair

(stealing Dad's pictures -again- for this post)
We spent an evening at the Cabarrus County Fair. We had a ratio of 4 adults to 6 children- keeping the babies in a wrap most of the day was so helpful in keeping up with everyone! The kids rode several rides: This car ride scared Rebekah pretty badly:

o Aunt Alana decided to treat all the kids to a pony ride (but Rebekah was still shaken up, so she stayed with Mac-Mac):

Then the kids took the world's quickest boat ride:Next we went to find the "Racing Pigs" Then on to the livestock area:
Where we fed the animals:

And played in the play area:

And learned all about bee hives:
Next came Rebekah's favorite part of the evening- cotton candy, funnel cake and fried oreos!
Then we listened to the band and rode a few more rides before finally heading home:

You live and learn. Next time we'll buy the armband and the children can ride as many rides as much as they'd like. Ridiculous that each ride is $3. Boy, our wallets emptied fast (and we stopped at the bank en route). But the joy on their faces...priceless!
