Splash Pad

Last month the kids and I met Kenneth, Kerstin and their crew at the local Splash Pads. We had a great day. The weather was perfect and not sweltering hot as it often is this time of year. The kids were actually a little chilly in the fountains.

Miriam loved this bucket that slowly filled and suddenly flipped over to dump water on the unsuspecting kids below. Michael had no idea why Miriam was standing so still right there, but being a good brother he stood patiently beside her...boy was he in for a surprise:

"Mom, did you see that????" Maybe playing with Rebekah would be smarter... Soon cousins came to join in the fun:

Here is sweet Austen, she wasted no time getting in the fountains Bailey and Miriam played together quite a bit- Miriam enjoys having someone willing to follow her directions.

Peyton finally woke from her morning nap in the wrap to join us for lunch

Miriam and Morgan are off to find the train ride.We finished up the day at the playground. This is Michael as I bribe him, "Stay awake all the way home and Mommy will give you an ice cream sandwich." (it worked! we all had a lovely nap that afternoon)
