Zoo Day!

This morning the children and I went to the zoo with several friends from our Sunday School class. It was a beautiful day; the morning was quite chilly but by lunchtime we were able to shed our coats.

Miriam was in love with Bria today. She spent much of the day "helping" Mrs. Vicky push Bria's stroller and "mommying" Bria.

Michael and Perry enjoyed standing in the stroller to watch the puffins swimming.

The KidZone had a great chalk and water painting area. It was a too cold to let the younger children play in the water as much as they wished, but they all had lots of fun anyway.

Next we stopped for lunch and then played on the playground. I believe the children would have been happy to just stay at the playground all day long!

Strolling along to see more animals

Miriam and Kate enjoyed reading the map and telling us which animal we would see next.

Ellie and Rebekah were the snack queens all day-begging for snacks at every turn. Here are all the children in one picture! It was late in the afternoon and Michael was cranky, so I had to be in the picture too. We had 9 kids and 4 adults and must have looked like quite a crowd together! One mom stopped me to ask if the children all belonged to us or if we had daycare children with us!
