Rob was putting tile on the back splash that morning:
At home I've been packing box after box after box. My car has been in the shop since last Friday-we need a new transmission (OUCH!!), but I've had plenty to keep me busy here. That's a very good thing since no other car in the household will hold 3 car seats. The children have decided that boxes are much more fun than any toy they own. The past week this is pretty much how they have looked:
Miriam has been my little shadow, I am very surprised that she isn't all bruised up from the many, many times I have tripped over her or knocked her down when she is directly behind or under me at every turn. At this point her Love Languages seem very high in touch and quality time. When she woke up from nap earlier than her siblings this week we decided to take a break from packing to bake cookies-she was in need of some major Mommy/Miri time. She could not wait for them to finish baking (as you can see in the following picture)
Miriam is so excited to move, she talks about it all the time; she especially loves her new pink room and yellow playroom. She is also very excited about our move in day. The girls are going to spend the night with Grandma and Mac-Mac Saturday night so that I will have the opportunity to get their room all ready for them and hopefully get the kitchen completely unpacked as well. Miriam has quite a list of all the things she wants to do for the sleepover: Chuck E Cheese, a restaurant, go to church, listen to the radio and watch TV.
Rebekah doesn't quite understand what is going on. She is showing some anxiety, needing to be held a lot and not sleeping well (which is very unusual for her). She does love her new pink bedroom and often wanders off at the new house to be found in her room staring at the pink walls. I am hoping the transition to a new house will be smoothed by sharing a bed with her sister. However she loves her crib and may not be thrilled to give it up. She's turning 3 in just over a month, so it is time to move to a big girl bed!
Michael is oblivious to what is going on. He is going to miss Grandma and Mac-Mac I am sure. Every day he goes upstairs when they get home from work and gets to go hang out in their room. He loves it! If I go in and try to take him he shakes his head no and loudly protests.
Michael no longer crawls-he's walking everywhere and trying to run. When asked what the cat and dog say he can answer correctly! He will sometimes even point to his ear when asked! He is one smart little boy, and almost as vocal as Miriam was at his age. When we take out a camera he poses, smiles and says, "Cheese!!!" He can also throw quite a fit, when things don't go his way he throws him self on the floor, kicks, flails about, and fusses--wonderful huh?
