Charlotte Christmas Experience

We went to the Charlotte Christmas Experience last night at church. Nate, Alana and Naomi are visiting us from California and also came. We took a big family picture in front of the huge Christmas tree; it turned out really good. You'll have to see it in your Christmas letter from my mom and dad. Here are some of the pictures I took last night:
Naomi and Alana waiting in line for the train.
The train ride took us through a Christmas village, complete with Christmas lights, reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and lots of little elves. The train driver was a bit enthusiastic and took us for a very wild ride. Miriam loved it. Rebekah didn't ride the train, she and Daddy watched from a safe distance.

Dad...this is pretty much how he looked all night...

Miriam "ice" skating.

The highlight of Miriam's night was "ice" skating. She had a wonderful time, but was not happy that she had to wait in line for half an hour for a few minutes of skating time. She wanted to do it again, but we were unwilling to wait in that line again!

This is how Rebekah looked all night.

Rebekah says she had a great time at the Christmas Experience. But, all she did was watch her sister participate in the activities from a distance.

Michael loved the living nativity scene. He wanted to get a goat to play with and was not happy at all when it was time to leave the nativity scene. Miriam is happy to report that this year there was no donkey eating the baby Jesus' swaddling clothes.
