At G.G.'s house the favorite pastime is playing in two dishtubs of water. It is amazing how the children can spend all day in these little tubs--who needs a pool when you have dishtubs?

G.G. will do just about anything the kids suggest. Ever seen an 80 year old woman with a cane playing paddle ball before?
G.G. spent many hours sitting on this bench watching the kids playing in her yard. She was so impressed with the way the kids use their imaginations to play all day with just the few toys we brought and the things they found in her yard. She said it reminded her of how she and her siblings used to play together. How I hate that we live 4 hours away and can't give her this time with her Great Grandkids more often.
Rebekah made a little forest of "saplings" with the sticks she found in the yard.

Donald and Ginny came Saturday morning and took the kids to their side of the farm for several hours. The kids love feeding Jack-Jack (the donkey) and the cows apples, riding in the farm truck, eating snacks, playing the organ and riding behind the lawnmower.
We also spent two of our days in Bracey and Brodnax. We had such a nice time swimming in the lake, riding the boat and visiting that side of the family. Sadly I didn't take pictures there, I'm too chicken to get my new camera anywhere near the water yet! Mom and Dad took a break from working on their new vacation house while we were there. We had a blast riding the boat (Miriam rode the float behind the boat!), swimming, and having a fish fry at Uncle Gary's. We also LOVED eating dinner at Gami's; chicken and dumplings, butter beans, Cole slaw....YUMMY!
